Andrea Zimandy, DVM
Dr. Zimandy is a South Florida native and has worked in different aspects of veterinary medicine for over 15 years. She completed her Bachelor and Master’s degrees from the University of Florida and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Atlantic Veterinary College. Her special interests include preventative medicine, anesthesia/pain management, and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Zimandy, along with her veterinarian husband, actively collaborate with multiple state agencies working on the non-native and invasive species issue in South Florida. Her pro-bono work involves performing health checks on wildlife, diagnostic testing, and surgical procedures for ongoing research projects. She shares her home with 3 dogs, 2 cats, a sulfur crested cockatoo, an Argentine black and white tegu, and a group of leopard tortoises.
