Dr. Zimandy was born and raised in South Florida with a background working with native and exotic wildlife. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology and Master’s degree at the University of Florida. She continued her education at Atlantic Veterinary College where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Dr. Zimandy enjoys working with all animals, and has a professional interest in exotic animal medicine. She, along with her veterinarian husband, actively collaborate with multiple state agencies aiding in native and invasive species research projects in South Florida. The scope of her volunteer work involves performing examinations on wildlife, diagnostic testing, and surgical procedures.
She shares her home with 2 beagles, 2 cats, a sulfur crested cockatoo, and multiple species of tortoises.
