Dr. Jessica Ramirez was born in Queens, New York and was raised in South Florida. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Psychology from the University of Miami in 2005. She continued her education at Michigan State University, where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Following graduation, she completed a one year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Maitland, Florida. Since then, Dr. Ramírez has been practicing for over 10yrs in South Florida, during which she has gained a special interest in internal medicine, emergency and critical care, as well as dentistry and behavioral medicine. She strives to provide stress-free care for all of her patients and has a soft spot for helping families care for elderly pets with special needs. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, paddle boarding, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Ramirez is fluent in Spanish and she shares her loving home with three dogs, Crystal, Cookie, and Marlin, as well as two cats, Rey and Bruno.
