Mateo Rodriguez, DVM

Dr. Rodriguez was born in Cali, Colombia, and is a Native Spanish speaker. He has kept close ties with Colombia and enjoys traveling to visit often. He later moved to the United States with his family, where he was raised in Orlando, Florida. He is a true Florida Gator earning both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees from the University of Florida.

Dr Rodriguez has a passion for both small animals and all exotic animal medicine and surgery. He’s certified in veterinary acupuncture through Chi University and enjoys providing a wide range of treatment options to his patients.

Outside of work he loves spending time outdoors and traveling, having visited 22 U.S. National Parks so far, with Arches National Park in Utah being his favorite. His interests extend to health and fitness, including strength training, basketball, and rock climbing. You can also find him at music festivals where he’s a self proclaimed “excellent dancer”! He shares his home with a beloved cat named CAATTT, two three-legged bunnies Nieve and Toro, and Takemichy, a chinchilla.
