Mateo Rodriguez was born in Cali, Colombia and raised in Orlando, Florida.  Mateo is considered a “double gator” , earning both his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida. He also graduated with a certificate in Business Administration and Shelter Medicine. His passion is providing high quality medicine to all animals with a special interest in exotic medicine and acupuncture.  He is fluent in Spanish and loves to travel in his free time. He is excited to be practicing in South Florida and shares his home with his cat names Nami-Cat.
